Titel: Socialstyrelsens har sista ordet (serie: Tema barnvaccinationer) 2008 nr 22 sid 1685-7
|
Summary:
Vaccination of children represents one of the most cost-effective medical interventions. In Sweden all children are offered vaccination against eight diseases and some children are recommended protection against a few more. Vaccination in Sweden is voluntary and the program has a coverage of 95-98 percent. The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) is the responsible authority for the vaccination schedule, while counties and municipalities have the operative role. Newer vaccines means new challenges, e.g. more complicated health cost analyses and increased surveillance and follow-up.
