Summary:
The aims of a special immunisation clinic at Sachs' Children's Hospital, Stockholm South General Hospital are to investigate children: who have experienced unexpected or serious adverse events following vaccination given according to the general vaccination programme for children in Sweden, with chronic or other diseases which might contraindicate further vaccination, whose parents have great worry for vaccination due to experiences of adverse events in the family
and to recommend if, when, where and how further vaccinations can be given. Of all children having been examined 136 (70 %) have been revaccinated in the hospital and four of them showed similar or new symptoms after vaccination. These events were transient and resolved spontaneously. A special immunisation clinic should be part of a comprehensive immunisation programme.
