Titel: Mindfulnessmeditation - nygammal metod för att lindra stress [summary] (serie: Tema psykoterapi) 2006 nr 42 sid 3174-7
|
Summary:
Mindfulness meditation is a meditation technique that may lead to reductions in a variety of problematic conditions including stress. The effects of mindfulness training has been studied in randomised controlled trials in patients suffering from fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions, several forms of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and depression. These studies show significant improvements in the intervention groups compared to controls. Other studies suggest that mindfulness training and other types of meditation improves psychological symptoms and distress in healthy people. However, long term effects of mindfulness training in stress related diseases still needs to be evaluated. By the end of the first half of 2006 there are no certified teachers in mindfulness in Scandinavia. Information about mindfulness can be found on eg. www. Clinicaltrials.gov, www.mindfulnesstapes.com
